Let's dive into some charts , again, and compare how successful game reviews are different from "less successful" sequels. And we can see interesting insights from it: Compared to Silksong, original Hollow Knight has more even distribution (peaks are smaller compared to the average, in simpler terms), even accounting for sample size, we see that Silksong players were leaving reviews much earlier on the playtime. Point stands for the first month too, but slightly differently - we see a jump from 3 to 6 hours playtime reviews. This can also be explained either with Steam algorithm asking to leave a review at some point, or with these specific people changing their reviews later. And it doesn't just affect that early "pit", it goes beyond and we see how there are far more reviews left for Silksong for ranges of playtime 3h - 8h. There is also a slight difference of "tail" size, ~50% compared to 43% of Silksong's, but this difference is not that strong.
