Examples: Banana & More (42/46)
Could any of us expect a game like "Banana" to appear? Yes, one could have expected it to go after all hype is settled, but what about Bongo Cat? A desktop app that adds cute cat smashing task-panel each time you press a button, sitting at 90k reviews and 130k CCU. (yes, the game is free, but it got skins and other ways to monetize, we just don't have enough tools to measure it). Remember those recent years when we got all those extraction shooters? Grey Zone Warfare (58k, 69%, 947 CCU), Active Matter (not in steam, but supposedly doing not good), Level Zero: Extraction (2,5k, 51%, close to 0 CCU), Forever Winter (20k, 70%, ~200 CCU), and on top of that Delta Force (172k, 58%, ~100-150k CCU) dominating the top-CCU list always staying in, or close to top 10 games. And then I tell you, hey, there is a developer who is gonna release a third-person extraction shooter, after they did a first-person "close combat" shooter, do you think that is a good idea? - I would be really surprised if you could predict such a massive success for ARC Raiders then.
