Price competition (14/46)
But players are not widely aware of those expenses and struggles of the developers. And even though one can say it is fair, developers should consider the fact that there are better (more complex, bigger scale, more depth, more polish, more content) products on the market for a cheaper price . Just imagine, people had a chance to buy Witcher 3 for as low as 4$, where as the starting price was 60$. And this leads us to the first glimpse of Dissociated Feedback: Fresh releases are competing with old games as much as they do compete with other fresh releases. More than that, it seems to me that the situation will get more extreme in the near future. This is important, because feedback we get as a developer is mostly expected to be a comparison against "fresh" competitors; most people don't think about "why my First-Person shooter is better than Team Fortress 2", or "why my 2D platformer is better than Hollow Knight".
